John Stroobant is a director and founding principal of Captivate. John has worked in the marketing and research fields for more than 20 years. John enjoys developing innovative, cost-effective and rigorous research solutions that meet the needs of the client. Prior to founding Captivate John worked as the National Marketing Manager for one of New Zealand’s top 20 businesses with revenues in excess of $200m. In this role he directed a marketing team as well as a team of research analysts, and worked with market research companies to commission studies to meet his business needs.
Meredith Marshall is an account director and founding principal of Captivate. Meredith has worked in the communications and marketing industry for more than 20 years. Prior to founding Captivate, Meredith worked for six years for the Ministry of Education in a communications role. She has significant expertise in assessing risk, working against a political backdrop and moving projects forward that require careful management or are potentially contentious. As well as managing projects, she continues to provide communications advice to schools across the country facing significant or critical issues.
Rachel joined the Captivate team in 2015 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing and Management. Rachel is responsible for coordinating the marketing for Captivates clients and is also the in-house marketer for the Captivate brand. She supports the directors in their liaison with clients and carrying out successful marketing campaigns that come from within Captivate.
Travis Brown is a research analyst with the Captivate Team. He has an Honours Degree in Applied Psychology. Travis enjoys uncovering new information and gaining a better understanding about the topic he researches. His main roles include supervising researchers, data analysis and report writing.
Tracey Wang has recently joined Captivate as market research project coordinator. She graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and International Business. Her main roles include project coordination and reporting.
Captivate’s Company Accountant is a very experienced finance manager having held accounting roles in corporates before joining the team at Captivate. Alex enjoys the buzz that comes from a busy team and that the variety of projects being delivered means no two days are ever the same (even in accounting). Outside of Captivate, Alex has played in bands all his life and enjoys his daily scooter ride to work.
